BOLIVAR PHIL
Venezuela has been the birthplace of hundreds of world-renown musicians and orchestra conductors, thanks to the initiative of maestro Jose Antonio Abreu. His vision allowed hundreds of thousands of underprivileged kids to be trained at the highest level and turn music into their way of living.
Bolivar Phil is born of the union of former members of the most important Venezuelan orchestras that have migrated to the United States. We seek to become the most relevant space in Florida for high-performing musicians from throughout the world.
OUR MISSION
Bolivar Phil is formed to educate, perform and promote music for the benefit of the community. Our mission is to form and develop a world-class symphonic orchestra with talented and renowned musicians, extend the experience and skills of its members to develop and nurture the next generation of musicians and music lovers.
The orchestra would contribute to the cultural development in the community by transfiguring our high-quality performances into transcending joy, inspiration and passion.
OUR SUCCESS
As Maestro Riazuelo describes it, the success of The Grand premiere is a miracle which defied all societal laws. The orchestra brought back the essence of playing music to its roots, the love for the art of music. Against all odds and with an unfavorable budget, Bolivar Phil has been able to inspire and create a movement with its vision and passion for music. June 30th is a day to remember and denotes the birth of a symbolic orchestra.
The gala concert had over 180 musicians on stage, including the world-famous trumpeter Pacho Flores, awarded First Prize in the “Maurice André”, the most recognized trumpeting contest in the world.
OUR MOVEMENT
We would love to continue with our mission to become the impactful orchestra in the US and Latin America and to implement “El systema” to help underprivileged kids globally navigate the troughs and crests of their lives. The goal is to create a sustainable foundation to nurture musical passion, turnaround lives and strike a chord with the next generation.
